THE COCHIN UNIVESITY (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 1974 [1]

(ACT 26 OF 1974)

An Act further to amend the Cochin University Act, 1971

         Preamble.—WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Cochin University Act, 1971, for the purpose          hereinafter appearing;

                   BE it enacted in the Twenty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

        1. Short title and commencement.—(1)  This Act may be called the Cochin University (Second Amendment) Act, 1974.                                                 

       (2) It shall come into force at once.

         2.Amendment of section 15.—In section 15 of the Cochin University Act, 1971 (30 of 1971), in item (4)   under the heading “ELECTED MEMBERS”, for the words “elected by the Legislative Assembly”, the  words “elected by the Members of the Legislative Assembly” shall be substituted.
