THE PROHIBITION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1967 1 (ACT 5 OF 1967) An Act further to amend the Prohibition Act, 1950 Preamble:― WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Prohibition Act 1950, for the purpose hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Eighteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:― 1.Short title.― This Act may be called the Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 1967. 2. Amendment of S.2.― In S.2 of the Prohibition Act, 1950 (XIII of 1950) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act),― (a) in sub-section (1), the words, brackets and figure “but subject to the provisions of sub-section (2)” shall be omitted; and(b) sub-section (2) shall be omitted. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act as if this Act had commenced on the 27th day of April, 1967. |
